Ingredients
Fish - 1/2 kg
Grated coconut - 1 1/2 cup ( half of a coconut)
Chopped Ginger - 2 teaspoon
Green chillies - 3-4
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder -1/2 tablespoon
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
curry leaves - 3-4 strands
Cocum - 2 small pieces
Fenugreek powder - 1/8 tsp
Preparation
Add turmeric powder to grated coconut and grind it into a very smooth paste in a mixie.
Add coconut paste , chopped ginger, green chillies, curry leaves, cocum ,chilli powders and salt to the chatti/claypot.
Add enough water to this and boil.. When it starts to boil ,add fish and cook for 5- 10 minutes.
Add a pinch of fenugreek powder and a tsp of coconut oil and remove from fire.
Garnish with fresh curry leaves.
Even in my place,Hindus used to cook meat on Vishu..Ur Fishcurry looks delicious and I like the chatty..
